Background Processing

When Mail Manager 2010 or Mail Manager 2010 LE perform a function on a list, such as encoding or presorting, you can continue using 2010, LE or other applications while the list is being processed. Mail Manager 2010 allows several lists to be processed at the same time. 2010 or LE's Background Processes window shows the speed and the estimated completion time for the each function.

When more than one Mail Manager 2010 function is running at a time, there is “competition” between them for the system resources. In Mail Manager 2010, priority refers to the precedence given to the function being performed with respect to all other functions running at the same time.

When you right-click a function listed in the Background Processes window, a pop-up menu appears.

See the table for descriptions of the options available on this window.
