Import File Types

The Source File contains records you want to import. Mail Manager 2010 and Mail Manager 2010 LE
recognize the following file types for importing lists:

• Borland Paradox (Mail Manager 2010 only)
• dBase/FoxPro
• Delimited (e.g., comma)
• Existing Mail Manager 2000 List
• Existing Mail Manager 2010 List (Mail Manager 2010 only)
• Fixed Length Fields, CR / LF
• Label Images Disk File (only 1-up available with Mail Manager 2010 LE)
• MS Access, MS ADO (Mail Manager 2010 only)
• MS Excel
• Standard ASCII Fixed Length File
• USPS Comp. Delivery Seq (CDS) (Standard with Mail Manager 2010; requires ECR option for Mail Manager 2010 LE.)
• Videojet JSII (Mail Manager 2010 only)

USPS Comp. Delivery Sequence (CDS)
Computerized Delivery Sequence files, with updated address information and Walk Sequence data, can be obtained from the USPS along with CDS Conversion Software required for decrypting the files. When using this software, the following settings should be selected in the CDS Options window:

• Output Format: Fixed Record Length (NO CR/LF)
• Split Files by ZIP Code: No
• USPS Field Formats: AMS style delivery numbers and Justified street name should both be selected.
• Output Record Types: Delivery Point is the only option that should be selected.

Computerized Delivery Sequence files usually feature a .dat extension.
