USPS Presort Documentation
Compared to USPS paperwork, filing a tax return is a breeze. Fortunately, you have Mail Manager 2010 to do it all for you
(the USPS paperwork, that is).
BCC was the first software developer to provide integrated postage-statement printing, with all postage calculations
pre-entered for your convenience. Beyond required postage statements and Qualification Reports, Mail Manager 2010 also
produces such completed forms as Periodicals Zone Summary Reports, Destination Summary Reports, Job Set-up Parameter
Reports, Destination Rate Listings and more — all designed to increase your efficiency, and simplify your work.
The Postal Service is transitioning to electronic processing of mail verification and payment. Instead of presenting
reams of paper, you can transmit a file with every detail of a mailing in the industry-standard Mail.dat format. The trouble
is, many mailing programs don’t support the Mail.dat format — but Mail Manager 2010 was one of the first mailing
programs to allow the creation of these time- and paper-saving files.
Container Tags
Each mail sack, tray, or pallet must be labeled with a tag identifying the container's origin, content, and destination
— and Automation Rate mailings carry strict formatting requirements for tags, including a USPS-approved barcode.
With Mail Manager 2010, it’s easy to print container tags to strict USPS standards for all supported
sorting categories — even pallet placards — on any Windows-compatible printers (BCC’s specialized
TrayMate family of printers are another powerful tag-output option). The software also supports the container-tag
Optional User Information line, customizable to automatically include such data as container number and counts, greatly
facilitating production.

Mail Manager 2010 makes consistent container-tag printing easy.
