Cost
Across the industry, first-year licensing fees for various direct mailing software packages start at less than
$1,000 and can approach six figures. And the initial fee is only the beginning: because they must evolve at
pace with regulations, tables and data set by the United States Postal Service
(USPS), most packages are
typically offered through regularly updated annual subscriptions, with renewal fees after the first year set
proportionally to the first year’s license.
Obviously, cost is a critical factor in the decision-making process. And although Mail Manager 2010’s
price emphasizes its value, we would say that price is the least important factor. Don't be misled into
believing that more expensive packages are better. And don't assume that cheaper products will still fulfill
your goals as a mailer. There is no more costly mistake than selecting mailing software today that will not
meet your needs for the future.
We challenge you to find a more complete mailing solution, at any price, than Mail Manager 2010. If cost
remains your primary consideration, consider Mail Manager 2010 LE, the “Lite Edition” of our
product that's even more competitively priced while still preserving the essential features and
functionality of “full-strength” 2010. (Some vendors' entry-level programs are completely
different than their professional-level versions, making upgrades difficult as your needs grow.)
