Multi-Threaded Background Processing
A complicated name for an incredibly valuable time-saver, this enables simultaneous processing of multiple jobs
on one computer. With other PC-based bulk mailing program packages, one job must be completed before you can begin the next: a project
with several million records might tie up the system while other jobs wait their turn. Mail Manager 2010 lets you
start one or more large jobs while processing others (and even change their priorities), while on-screen displays
track their progress and estimated completion times. This dramatically increases your productivity, allowing you
to promise tight turnarounds — and deliver.
Packaging or Moving Lists
Mailers often have to refer to a job’s details after its completion, but archiving raw data rarely gives
you the analysis you need. 2010 archives all aspects of a job into a compressed (“packaged”) file
that can be stored for easy retrieval later. Because list and processing details are included, files can be used
to move or copy jobs between multiple 2010-equipped systems. (This feature also makes it easy to send troublesome
files to the BCC Customer Support department for analysis.)
Automating the Process
The TaskMaster option for Mail Manager 2010 offers so much value, we had to mention it again (see page 19 for
more details). TaskMaster can automate entire jobs (or repetitive operations) to run with only a few keystrokes
— so you can schedule a job to run unattended at a set time, or to start through another program via command
line or batch file. Whole jobs can be set for after-hours “playback” (turning a one-shift mailroom
into a 24-hour operation!) or created as a script using the 2010 job editor, any text editor, or other programs.
Mail Manager 2010 is packed with features designed to save you countless hours of production time. For instance,
many tedious operations — importing, exporting, creating list or label templates, presort settings,
mailing permits and more — can be saved to a file or template to avoid repeating tasks from scratch.

The TaskMaster option brings mailing automation capabilities to any 2010-equipped mailroom.
Web Updates
Mailing is a constantly changing business — from Postal rates and regulations to address data and even the
software itself. To stay competitive, your operation must keep pace with these shifts. That's why Mail Manager
2010 continuously adds new capabilities and updates to account for new
USPS
data. To ensure you always have the most current software, updates are posted at bccsoftware.com. When updates are
available, 2010 can automatically notify you, and download and install them to your system with a single mouse click.
Introducing the BCC Customer Portal
In our latest innovation, a “members-only” online area, BCC users can review their account information,
read the latest BCC-specific or general mailing news, and even tell us how they’d like to be contacted
regarding updates, training, and promotional opportunities. More features are coming soon (it’s already the
new home of our popular BCC User Forum) and the same goes for enhancements to our entire product line.

The Customer Portal: BCC’s latest innovation maximizes user convenience.
