Drop-Ship Savings Made Easy.
Quite simply, two extra forms and one additional local delivery can connect you to dramatic postage savings.
Instead of dropping your presorted and palletized mailings into the postal system at a USPS facility, have
your mailing verified there and returned to you. That's where Truck Direct Mail and Direct Logistics, Inc. (DLI), come in.
The free TDM online service can determine how much money and time Destination Entry drop-shipping can save you;
and submit your job directly to DLI. Once confirmed, A DLI-coordinated carrier will pick up your mailing and deliver
it directly to BMC/SCF facilities — saving you as much as 20 percent in total postal costs.
Non-Destination Mailing vs. Destination Entry Drop-Shipping
Take a look at the two workflow diagrams below. The graphic at left depicts the classic (and potentially wasteful) system of allowing the USPS to transport your mailings directly from your shop. At right is drop-shipping the TDM way: you're in control, and your productivity and profitability are the better for it.
About Destination Entry Discounts
In addition to the highly publicized postal rate increases that took effect in 2002, strong increases were
implemented in flat rate postal discounts for Destination Entry processing.
The Postal Service now offers significant cost savings for
bulk mail shipments that are consolidated and
drop-shipped (via private carrier) to regional postal facilities nearest the mailpieces' final destinations.
Truck Direct Mail and Direct Logistics provide a way to put this incentive to work for you — and save big money with little
extra effort.
In fact, in the initial two months of Truck Direct Mail beta testing, the average user enjoyed net savings of $16.59 per thousand mail pieces. The beta testing group saved nearly a half million dollars, while one user saved in excess of $31,000 on a single job! Truck Direct Mail has already saved BCC users tens of thousands of dollars; why not let it help you save too?
