BCC Software’s MOVE
Manager Option to Incorporate
New USPS NCOALink Technology
BCC is among the first to receive USPS Distributor
Certification
for NCOALink, enabling easier access to COA data
Rochester, NY — BCC Software Inc has been
certified by the United States Postal Service® (USPS®)
as an NCOALink Interface Developer and NCOALink Interface Distributor. This certification will
enable BCC to use NCOALink technology in MOVE
Manager, a premium option that enhances the functionality
of BCC’s acclaimed Mail Manager 2010 mail
preparation software. BCC is one of two companies
initially certified to offer this technology
to mailers.
“For 25 years mailers and marketers have
depended on BCC Software for innovative products
and services that help them stay competitive,
productive, and profitable,” says K. Jon
Runstrom, BCC President and CEO. “We’re
very proud of this latest certification — another
example of BCC’s leadership in providing
trusted solutions for professional mailers.”
NCOALink is a new USPS technology product designed
to provide wider access to the United States
Postal Service Change of Address (COA) database,
using a secure process that enhances security
of COA information. NCOALink technology allows
mailers to update mailing lists with address
changes before they are entered into the mail
stream. A proactive Move Update process, it is
the preferred method for satisfying USPS Move
Update requirements when seeking United States
Postal Service discounts for First-Class® mailings.
Further, by using COA technology mailers can
speed delivery and minimize Undeliverable As
Addressed mail for any mail class.
Until now, the full National Change of Address
(NCOA) data were available to a limited number
of USPS licensees, with the USPS FASTforward® process — a
hardware solution providing 13 months of NCOA
data — available as a USPS-approved alternative.
The United States Postal Service has announced
that NCOALink technology will replace NCOA and
FASTforward Mailing List Correction on September
30, 2004 and September 30, 2005, respectively.
With the incorporation of NCOALink technology,
BCC’s MOVE Manager option will be available
in three configurations: End-User, Limited Service
Provider, and Full Service Provider, each corresponding
to a different USPS NCOALink service level. These
represent upgrades from the existing MOVE Manager
product, which provides licensees with access
to the United States Postal Service FASTforward
database.
License fees for MOVE Manager will start at
$4,300 for the End-User configuration. (Additional
licensing fees from the USPS apply.) Special
upgrade pricing will be available for current
licensees of BCC’s MOVE Manager option
featuring FASTforward.
