BCC Software Releases Mail Manifesting Option for Standard Mail Jobs

New Mail Manager 2010 premium option joins previously released Mail Manifesting for First-Class Mail; Package Services version currently in development

Rochester, NY- BCC Software, Inc., a BÖWE BELL + HOWELL company and a leading developer of high-performance software and solutions for professional mailers, announces the release of another premium option for Mail Manager 2010 presorting and list-management software. The new Mail Manifesting option documents postage for variable Standard Mail® letters or flats, allowing users to obtain maximum postage discounts on pieces with differing weights and thicknesses.

A BCC Mail Manifesting option supporting First-Class Mail® presorts—now USPS® MAC™ Batch certified—was developed and released in 2005. A third option supporting Package Services mailings is in development and will be available soon, completing BCC’s Mail Manifesting suite.

After a mailer finishes presorting a list for a Standard Mail job with Mail Manager 2010, the Mail Manifesting option makes it possible to print a manifest keyline on each piece, and generates a Batch or Itemized Manifest report corresponding to the keylines printed on each piece in the mailing. The mailing may then be submitted to the Post Office™ for processing with all appropriate postal discounts, per the regulations of the USPS manifest mailing system.
