BCC Software to Showcase
New Media Mail/Library Mail Option
at MAILCOM Fall Show
Other New and Recent Software Innovations
also to be Highlighted;
Visit BCC’s Booth for Product Demos and
More
Rochester, NY — BCC Software, the leading
developer of high performance software and solutions
for professional mailers, will showcase a valuable
new premium option for its highly acclaimed Mail
Manager 2010™ software at the MAILCOM Fall
Conference and Exhibition in Anaheim, CA, November
9-11, 2003.
Media Mail and Library Mail, the latest premium
Mail Manager 2010 option, will be spotlighted
along with an array of product improvements and
enhancements —particularly the addition
of support for the United States Postal Service’s® 8125
Plant-Verified Drop Shipment form; new User-Defined
Functions for Mail Manager 2010; and recently
released TagIt Pro on-demand container tag printing
software.
Media Mail is a USPS® sortation used to
earn mailing discounts when shipping bulk quantities
of media including books, film, printed music,
or educational charts. Library Mail preparation
standards are especially helpful for such educational
and research material distributors as libraries,
universities, zoos, and research institutions.
These new capabilities allow mailers to take
advantage of discount rates available for bulk
quantities of the Media and Library Mail classes.
BCC’s 8125 feature, now offered as a free,
inherent capability within Mail Manager 2010,
allows users to print the USPS 8125 Drop Shipment
Form, required for bulk mailers who use Plant-Verified
Drop Shipment (PVDS) verification and clearance.
BCC also supports 8125-C, used for consolidated
verification and clearance.
Improvements to Mail Manager 2010’s existing
User-Defined Functions augment the considerable
built-in features that have long offered tremendous
flexibility when manipulating or “cleansing” data.
Using text files, simple mini-programs can be
written to perform complex operations; for example,
a mini-program could be created to compare each
address to a list of store locations, then enter
a code in the record to indicate which store
is closest. The language used includes a number
of operators and commands that can help make
basic expressions more intelligent and useful.
At MAILCOM, BCC Software will also showcase
TagIt Pro™, an improved version of BCC’s
TagIt software, which increases efficiency and
improves productivity by eliminating delivery
delays caused by mislabeled containers. This
easy-to-use container-tag printing software now
enables mailers to print tags from any Windows®-compatible
printer as well as from BCC’s own TrayMate™ printer
family. This makes the software’s comprehensive
benefits available to virtually all mailers without
requiring the purchase of any additional hardware.
TagIt Pro includes all current USPS labeling
list tables for First Class, Periodical, Standard
and Package Services.
Hourly and on-demand demonstrations of these
and other software solutions will be offered
at the BCC Software booth throughout the MAILCOM
show.
