BCC Software Supports 8125 and 8125-C
for Drop
Shipment Form Automation
New Feature Calculates and Completes
Postal Shipping
Forms in One Click
Rochester, NY — BCC Software, the leading developer
of high performance software and solutions for
professional mailers, announces its support of
the 8125 and 8125-C Drop Shipment Forms. Offered
as a new feature for its flagship product, Mail
Manager 2010, BCC now supports the
United States Postal Service’s 8125 Drop
Shipment Form, which is required for bulk mailers
who wish to take advantage of Plant-Verified Drop
Shipment (PVDS) verification and clearance. BCC
also supports the 8125-C, required for consolidated
verification and clearance.
“The 8125 feature supports BCC’s longstanding
commitment to providing enhancements and new capabilities
that make the professional mailer’s job easier,
more efficient and more profitable,” said
Jon Runstrom, President of BCC Software. “Bulk
mailers have been in need of an automated solution
for Drop Shipment Forms for a long time now, and
BCC is happy to include this time-saving feature
at no additional charge for our Mail Manager 2010
users.”
PVDS is an option offered by the USPS® to
larger mailers. This service allows qualified mailers
to avoid the hassle of delivering mail to the local
Post Office™. All verification and acceptance is performed by a postal acceptance
clerk and dispatched directly to various Post Offices
in the destination area. Part of the PVDS requirement
is the completion of the 8125 form, a 33-question
document requiring several shipment calculations
and particular attention to guidelines of the Domestic
Mail Manual (DMM). BCC’s 8125 feature instantly
calculates information necessary to accurately
complete the form, and places a barcode on the
form if the customer is participating in Confirm,
a tracking system offered by the USPS.
Mail Manager 2010 is a Windows®-based mail
management software system that allows users to
optimize postal presorts, utilize streamlined database
maintenance functions, experience a reduction in
mailroom production costs, and enjoy the benefits
that come from improved deliverability of mailpieces.
Pricing
Mail Manager 2010 is priced at $3,500, including
one year of BCC's nationally recognized toll-free
telephone support, all software updates (six
mandatory bi-monthly CDs; other downloads available
via Web site) and a comprehensive User Guide.
