Title:                  Renewal and Solution Specialist, Sales
Reports To:     Vice President of Sales
Status:              Non-Exempt

Position Summary:

The Renewal and Solutions Specialist is responsible for building relationships with BCC’s customers and driving strong renewal metrics that assist with meeting the company goals. Must demonstrate ability to be proactive in the renewal life cycle including analysis of needs and proactive solution up-selling. Ability to measure results and report on findings regularly, as well as identify, develop and implement strategies to correct lost renewal opportunities.

Responsibilities:

Manage a pipeline of renewal opportunities through the entire renewal life cycle; build and maintain strong customer relationships with each contact
  • Deliver results against a renewal quota, which includes customer and revenue retention metrics
  • Assist with renewal forecasting and account planning
  • Document and track all renewal activities in company CRM system
  • Thoroughly understand current and potential customers’ needs and objectives in order to successfully determine the appropriate solution; confidently recommend solution strategies
  • Work closely with Sales to maintain consistency in customer communications and pricing
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of BCC’s products and attend training as required to keep current with products, technologies, and customer service-related skills
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of competitive products and solutions
  • Transfer knowledge of customer needs with other departments including Development and Product Management
  • Demonstrate a high-level of expertise and professionalism
  • Other duties as requested

Rquirements:

  • Ability to make and take outbound sales calls
  • 2 to 4 years experience in a sales and/or customer support environment
  • Good working understanding of a sales renewal life cycle
  • Confidence and ability to interface professionally with a wide spectrum of customers including C-level executives
  • Ability to clearly articulate knowledge of BCC products and services, and confidently up-sell solutions with customers
  • Must have a friendly and energetic personality/pleasant phone etiquette
  • Familiar with postal regulations a plus
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products required; knowledge of lead generation software a plus
  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a team environment

Education and Experience:

BA/BS degree in Liberal Arts or related field with 1-3 years in sales or customer support.
OR
Associates Degree in General Studies or related field with 3-5 years in sales or customer support.
OR
Any combination of the above which demonstrates the ability to complete the job requirements.
